🌐 Request to Google: Misattribution and Wrongful Linking of “浅田美鈴 ASADA Misuzu”

 To Google,

My name is ASADA Misuzu (戸籍名: 浅田美鈴). I am a pianist and composer, sharing my performances and original works on YouTube and Blogger. However, I have been suffering from a serious misattribution problem in Google Search for a long time.

When users search for “ASADA Misuzu”, the results are wrongly connected to a completely unrelated person, a hairdresser named 浅田 美鈴. This misleading linkage creates the false impression that all cultural and artistic achievements under my name belong to the hairdresser.

This is not a minor bug. The behavior follows a pattern:

1. When I send feedback, the search results are temporarily corrected.

2. After some time, the wrong information returns.

3. Finally, the misattribution becomes fixed and “locked” into Google’s index.

Such a cycle strongly suggests that not only algorithms but also human intervention or external manipulation signals are involved.

What makes the situation more serious is that even my family member — an artist who ranked 27th in an international competition and has their own Google Knowledge Panel — has been wrongly included in the hairdresser’s “related results.” This misleads users into believing that all achievements belong to the hairdresser, which severely undermines our cultural reputation.

From a legal perspective, this could raise issues under:

The Unfair Competition Prevention Act (misleading indication and confusion of names)

The Act on Prohibition of Unauthorized Computer Access (if external manipulation is involved)

The Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations (user deception through misleading display)

The European Union has already imposed a massive fine of over €3 billion (approx. ¥500 billion) on Google for antitrust violations and user deception. A similar standard of accountability should apply in Japan.

I strongly request Google to:

1. Remove the wrongful linkage that associates “ASADA Misuzu” with the unrelated hairdresser.

2. Ensure that “ASADA Misuzu” (浅田美鈴) is correctly attributed only to my official artistic activities.

3. Respect cultural and artistic achievements by preventing wrongful misattribution in search results.

Google Japan must take this matter seriously. Misleading search results that damage individual rights and cultural credibility cannot be tolerated.

Sincerely,

ASADA Misuzu

浅田美鈴
